Instructors Resource CDs/Instructor Manuals (Instructors Only)-Each textbook is accompanied by either an Instructor's Resource CD-ROM (IRCD) or a printed Instructor's Manual. The Instructor's CD-ROMs contain 90-100% of all the answers to exercises found in the corresponding textbook, solutions to programming exercises and source code. The printed Instructor's manuals provide answers to most of the exercises in the book and include a PC-formatted disk or CD-ROM containing the source code and solutions. Many of the Instructors CDs or Manuals contain the following:
- Testbank (also known as a Test-Item File)-15-20 multiple choice questions for each chapter
- Companion Web Site-Located at www.prenhall.com/deitel, the CWS provides
- Online study guide with practice quizzes and more
- Sample chapters
- Chapter outlines, highlights and objectives
- Source code
- Programming tips
- Course Management System support-Products available for Blackboard, WebCT and OneKey.
- Cyber Classroom (Web based or CD versions)-DEITEL® Multimedia Cyber Classrooms are interactive versions of our How to Program textbooks and contain:
- An intuitive browser-based interface
- Full text-searching and hyperlinking
- An electronic version of the corresponding textbook
- Executable program so you can see how each example works
- Hours of detailed, expert audio descriptions of thousands of lines of code
- Practice exams with sample test questions
- Hundreds of self-review questions drawn from the text, all with answers
- Hundreds of programming exercises drawn from the text, approximately half with answers. (The main text does not contain answers to these exercises.)
- Contains approximately half of the solutions to exercises in the textbook.
- PowerPoint® slides-Customizable lecture notes which contain a slide for each source-code listing, figure, table and image from the textbook. Code listings have full-color syntax coloring and backgrounds, plus call-outs that focus attention on the most important sections of the code.
- Student Solutions Manual -Contains approximately half of the solutions to exercises in the textbook. [Note: This manual contains the same solutions as the Cyber Classrooms.]
- Lab Manual-Provides hands-on lab assignments designed to reinforce students' understanding of lecture material. Lab manuals are designed for closed laboratories, which are regularly scheduled classes supervised by an instructor. Lab manuals also can be used for open laboratories, homework and for self-study.
- Each chapter in the lab manual is divided into Prelab Activities, Lab Exercises and Postlab Activities. Each chapter contains objectives that introduce the lab's key topics and an assignment checklist that allows students to mark which exercises the instructor has assigned. Each page in the lab manual is perforated, so students can submit their answers (if required).
- Dive-Into® Series publications-Free publications that help students and instructors familiarize themselves with various development tools:
